BRINGING UP A CHILD

Today is sunday and it is the only day that I laze around while helping my son to complete his schoolwork. Instilling into my son the necessity to spend some time revising his schoolwork can be quite taxing and stressful especially when he is one son that place so much importance on playing, playing and playing. On second thought, I do not wish to emphasise too much on academic performance because I would like to see him enjoy his childhood.Actually, I am just torn when it comes to bringing up children.I live in a country whereby so much emphasis is put on a child to perform academically scoring straight A's.As much as I do not expect my son to be an excellent student, I too can't help wishing that he would perform well. One can say I am at a crossroad. Anyway I used to console myself by saying what can I expect of a 12 yr old boy. A lot of time, I blame myself for not being able to spend more time with him and guide him in his studies due to my extremely busy schedule at the office. Oh! GOD, show me the right way to bring up this child so that he does not go astray.
